Day 1   Brampton Bryan

You've been here before and by now should be able to get round blindfolded. It is one of our most attractive areas with wide open spaces as well as beautiful and varied woodland. Hills are also here as are all the technical bits that should never be taken for granted.   All in all - high in its grade and a beautiful gem!

Note:

The previously closed Ludford bridge has now been repaired and re-opened.

From the camp site:
Follow the route as indicated by the red arrows in this link.

From the north:
Find your way to Leintwardine. Pick up the A4113 if you are not already on it. Head south across the bridge over the River Clun. After about two thirds of a kilometre continue on the A4113 by making a specific rig
ht turn to continue with it!   You should then pick up the O signs if you haven't already!

From the south:
Pick up the A4110
(built by the Romans, pot holes last filled by William the Conqueror) which starts slightly northwest of Hereford. Stay on it until shortly after the small village of Adforton where you should take a left onto the B4530. A short drive will then connect you to the A4113 onto which you need to turn left towards Brampton Brian and the O signs.

From the east:
Head towards Ludlow where you should easily pick up the northbound A49.  Shortly after the infamous Ludlow Food Centre
(on your right - with a good selection of beers too) turn off left onto the A4113 and head into Leintwardine. Then,  as per "From the north".

From the west:
Pick up the A4113 which can be done from Knighton and follow it eastwards all the way to Brampton Bryan (and the O signs).

All access will be straight into the parking field for cars, and via the estate road for campervans and other large vehicles. O signs will be placed and we will tell you where when we know.
