The Camping Page
Camping has been secured at a small commercial site.
. . . and here's something else (an after the event mailing) you might like to read!
Monstay Farm Campsite have reserved one of their fields exclusively for Sinners. They will be importing portable toilets and showers to ensure their existing small volume facilities are not overwhelmed. The views of the surrounding hills and forest are stunning! Angela Knight, who runs the farm and campsite is confident she can provide the facilities needed for up to 500 campers and looks forward to meeting you all. The camping fee is £4.50 per person per night and booking is to be made via the Fabian system. The big attraction of this site is that it is within walking distance of days 2 and 3. You will probably drive to the site from Brampton Bryan, after that you do not have to drive anywhere else until you drive home! If you are running in the Urban race then a 3½ mile trot to the centre of Ludlow should warm you up perfectly to dash round it in record time. Walking back might be a tad harder though!
The camp site have requested you read their visitor information sheet - available at the camp site. Additionally, there are some special observations for the SinS weekend.
Social Entertainment
There will be a ceilidh with band “Much Ado” and caller (our very own Chris James) on the Saturday night in the barn at Monstay Farm (SinS campsite). Tickets £4 per adult, all juniors and students free. Tickets available in advance through Fabian4 - get them now, either with your entry or retrospectively - you don't want to find we have sold out now do you! A cunning two part quiz by SinS’ very own quiz queen Liz Furness which will allow you to do the Ludlow Town race on Sunday evening too. A pig roast and real ale bar on site and a return of that old favourite SSSinSS (Some Secret Summits in South Shropshire) plus some other camp site diversions when we think of them! Remember, You do not have to be camping to attend . . .
Your site redcoat will be the irresistible and unsuppressable Mrs. H. who always, always makes an excellent job of it. Don't be surprised if she and Lester add even more value!
For Sinners wishing to camp on the Friday night (or extend their stay into the following week) you can now use the Fabian system to facilitate this.
Although there is no entertainment on Friday night at Monstay Farm, the Butcher's Grill and Hobson's Real ale Brewery will be in attendance so don't worry about what you are going to eat and drink after your journey, just roll up, pitch up and relax.
More graphic camping details can be read on the Nopesport site!
